Three Mentoring Paths

Yes. Mentoring builds on the Toolbox foundation. The Lab is implementation, not introduction.

You also need to have completed the Selling Domestic: 10 Day Quick Start before your evaluation call. 

Coaching teaches you skills.
Mentoring develops your judgment, your decision-making, and how you lead your business.
If coaching is “what to do,” mentoring is “how to think about what you’re doing.”

This path works best when the business itself is already stable — nothing is on fire — and the goal is adding domestic intentionally, not reinventing everything.

This is ideal if:

• You already have an established business and client base

• Domestic isn’t meant to replace what you do — it’s meant to layer in cleanly

• You want a clear, mapped plan instead of figuring it out on the fly

• You like structure, assignments, and knowing “this is what I’m working on this week”

• You do well with training, timelines, and follow-through

What we can realistically do in 90 days:

• Lay out a clear domestic lane that fits your existing business

• Decide how domestic fits (supporting line, secondary niche, limited offering, etc.)

• Build a year-long implementation plan you can continue on your own

• Get you started, get momentum, and pressure-test the plan while you’re working it

• Use the weekly workshops as built-in check-ins and reinforcement

How this actually works:

• We meet at the beginning to build the plan

• You work the plan week by week, supported by workshops and check-ins

• We adjust anything that turns out not to be realistic

• We meet again at the end to evaluate:

  • Did this work?

  • Is it sustainable?

  • Can you continue without hand-holding?

What this is not ideal for:

• Real-time decision support

• Panic-mode problem solving

• Constant back-and-forth

• Situations where you don’t yet know what direction you want to go

The outcome isn’t “a whole new business.”
The outcome is clarity, confidence, and a repeatable path you can keep using.

This path works best when you’re building or refining something specific, not just mapping ideas.

Guided is ideal if:

• You want to develop a focused domestic niche (National Parks, city stays, themed trips, etc.)

• You’re narrowing your offerings instead of keeping everything open

• You’re implementing new processes or workflows and want feedback as you go

• You know what you want to work on, but not the cleanest way to structure it yet

What we can realistically do in 90 days:

• Build out a specific domestic lane or niche

• Decide which destinations, suppliers, and trip types you’ll actually focus on

• Create or refine your workflow (research → itinerary → booking → follow-up)

• Work through tools like itinerary builders or systems you haven’t fully settled into yet

• Turn big, overwhelming projects into manageable steps

Why the format works:

• The 20-minute check-ins let us break large projects into bite-sized actions

• You don’t have to hold everything in your head between sessions

• You can test something, come back, adjust, and move forward again

• It keeps momentum without turning into endless meetings

This isn’t about rushing.
It’s about steady forward movement with support at the moments it actually matters.

What this is not ideal for:

• Full crisis mode

• Needing constant reassurance

• Not having a clear area you want to focus on yet

The outcome here is focus, follow-through, and systems that actually match how you work.

This path is about flexibility, not forced productivity.

It works well if:

• Your schedule isn’t consistent (shift work, part-time, caregiving, travel, different time zone)

• You tend to work in bursts instead of steady weekly blocks

• You do your best thinking while you’re in it, not neatly between meetings

• You don’t want another standing appointment added to your calendar

This path can work for:

• Someone with a strong, profitable business who wants a low-friction way to think through domestic

• Someone still building, part-time, or stabilizing who needs a place to sort things out without pressure

What we can realistically do in 90 days:

• Work through real situations as they come up

• Sort questions, ideas, and half-formed plans into “now” vs “not now”

• Catch problems early before they turn into spirals

• Help you move forward without forcing your work into a structure that doesn’t fit how your life actually runs

How the format supports that:

• You use a chat-like space to drop questions, voice notes, screenshots, or thoughts when you’re working

• I review and respond during my next working window

• There’s no expectation of real-time back-and-forth

• You don’t have to pause your momentum just because a meeting isn’t scheduled

This works especially well if:

• You might work intensely for a few days, then step away for a week or two

• You think clearly once things are out of your head

• You don’t want to perform productivity on a calendar

What this is not:

• Instant responses

• Ongoing real-time chatting

• A replacement for deep planning sessions if that’s what you actually need

The goal here is forward motion without forcing structure that fights you.

1. Start with the assessments
   Take the three short self-assessments. They’re designed to help you reflect on how you work, your current bandwidth, and what you’d want to focus on in mentoring. There are no right or wrong answers, and they ARE required for the application to be complete. 
2. Complete the application
   At the bottom of this page, you’ll find the final application section. This is where you tell me a little more about your business and which mentoring path you’re interested in.
3. Schedule your evaluation call
   Once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email with a link to my calendar to book a 20-minute evaluation call.
4. Decide together
   On that call, we’ll talk through your assessments, your goals, and which mentoring path (if any) makes sense right now.
5. Receive your offer
   If we both decide to move forward, you’ll receive a follow-up email outlining what we discussed, next steps, and a payment link to officially secure your spot.

This is a Mentoring Lab — a small, intentional testing period while I refine the structure, pacing, and containers before scaling this into future offers.

Applications are open now with initial evaluation calls being scheduled.  Start dates will be staggered based on:

• My available bandwidth

• Which mentoring path is the best fit

• Making sure everyone gets the level of support they signed up for

Applications will close at the end of March, or when capacity is reached — whichever comes first.

This Lab is intentionally designed to run alongside the weekly live workshops, so you’re not pausing your learning to be mentored. You’ll be building, applying, and asking better questions in real time while we work together.

The current offer is focused on implementing the core strategies, concepts, and business models introduced in the 10 Day Quick Start. Members who have completed the program can choose any of the three mentoring paths in the Mentoring Lab at the intro rate of $300 for 90 days during this initial test group.

This is a deliberately small, limited-run offering while I refine the structure, workload, and flow of each path. Future rounds will be priced differently once I have real-world data on what works best for both sides.

If you’re accepted, we’ll confirm the right path for you during your initial call before anything is purchased.

All strategy sessions take place during my regular office hours:

• Monday & Wednesday: 9–2
• Tuesday & Thursday: 9–11 and 2–5

Your first and final strategy sessions are scheduled together during your initial evaluation call, so everyone knows exactly what the 90 days look like from the start.

If you’re in the Guided Path, your short check-ins use a separate calendar and can be scheduled during normal working hours with as little as 24 hours’ notice, based on availability.

Mentoring is always 1:1, another thing that sets it apart from coaching. 

Coaching is skill based and works well in a shared/group setting, but mentoring is about development, and that's personal.
